The Bread Gal Bakery has a commitment to baking fresh artisan bread daily. Each day surplus bread is donated to local shelters, churches and other organizations in our community.

We use only the finest and freshest ingredients, and purchase locally whenever possible. Our rosemary, onions and blueberries all come from a farm in upstate New York. We patronize local businesses for additional ingredients and supplies.

While following food safety practices, we recycle and choose reusable supplies over disposable ones. We use environmentally friendly baking, cleaning, packaging, and waste removal practices. Our office operating and distribution procedures include direction on paper, electricity and fuel conservation.

Recently we began working with Toast Ale – whose mission is to brew delicious beer from fresh surplus bread.

One of the things we are most proud of is our ability to bring manufacturing jobs to our local community.
